My first topic choice would be Lou Gehrig's disease. I want to write about this topic because not only is my favorite book "Tuesday's With Morrie", but my cousin has this disease. It is a very sad process that makes even the strongest person crumble into nothing leaving them completely helpless. It damages the motor neourons in the brain and spinal cord. Over time, Lou Gehrig's disease causes these motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord to shrink and disappear, so that the muscles no longer receive signals to move. As a result, the muscles become smaller and weaker. Gradually the body becomes paralyzed. So my question would be, What fully is Lou Gehrig's disease and will there ever be a cure?
My second choice would be childrens beauty pagents. I don't feel that it is right that parents but their kids through the stress of an adult at this young of an age. They get their kids dressed up with layers of make-up on and make them go infront of judges to be critcized. These kids are not living normal lives and most of the time its the parents that are compeating and this is their dream and the kids dont even want to be a part of it. My question for this would be, Are beauty pagents really a good thing for young children to be participating in?
My third choice would be the government providing child day care for working parents. It's hard now a days to get a babysitter for children when parents are at work. And when people do put their kids in day care, the cost to have them in there is extremely high so parents cant even afford it. But if the government could provide a daycare and they would pay for it, it would make it a lot easier for the parents. My question for this would be, Why doesnt the government provide a day care for working parents?

I wish you'd choose the children's beauty pageaent one! That issue always gets me mad. But the Lou Gherig's disease topic is an okay one, too.
